'25 Aniversario' shows Caifanes's impact on Latin music

Caifanes release compilation album "25 Aniversario" displaying the powerful sound that has propelled them to legendary status in rock-en-Español.
An album that includes studio recordings, live performances and a DVD showcases the talents that have sustained the 25 year career of the Mexican five-some.
Memorable song such as their cover of "La Negra Tomasa," originally a Cuban song originally called "Bilongo" composed by Guillermo RodrÃguez Fiffe, in both studio and acoustic versions, "Afuera" (Outside) in both studio and live versions, and "No Dejes Que.." (Don't Let Them...) are amongst the compilation of songs that span the career of Caifanes.
With enjoyable and impactful lyrics the rock-en-Español has changed Latin music in a positive way.
Each song containing a different aspect of Latin music that push it past just a normal every day song to a work of art.
The bass, played by Sabo Romo, sets a strong foundation which drives the music, carrying the vibration and impacting on the ears of the audience in a pleasant manner.
Drummer Alfonso André adds an element if classic Latin drums to the mix and combines magnificently with all instrumentals and vocals always carrying a steady beat but not over powering the main aspects of each song.
Guitarist Alejandro Marcovich adds much to the progressive sound Caifanes are known for with strong rhythmic riffs.
Probably the most recognized aspect of the band is the vocals by Saúl Hernández, who also plays guitar. His lyrics carry a universal message and Hernandez's voice helps to make the sung words prominent.
The combination of hit songs spanning the career of the notable Rock-en-Español band that "25 Aniversario" puts on one album are well arranged and many of the songs are in both studio and live versions.
