It only took six seasons, but a girl has FINALLY won American Idol!
23-year old South Carolina native, Candice Glover is the winner of this year’s American Idol and it’s a well deserved win.
Glover had previously auditioned for Idol twice and it looks like the third time was the charm. Glover impressed Idol audiences with her powerhouse vocals throughout the season. Her most memorable performances include her take on The Cure‘s single “Love Song”, her rendition of Ben E. King‘s “I Who Have Nothing” and “Somewhere” from the musical West Side Story.
Glover’s winning debut single “I Am Beautiful” is now available for purchase via iTunes. For the first time in Idol history, you can now pre-order Glover’s debut album Music Speaks set for a July release.
Runner-up, Kree Harrison‘s debut single “All Cried Out” is also available via iTunes. In an Idol first, third place contestant Angie Miller‘s original track “Set Me Free” which she performed on Idol is also available on iTunes!
