NEW YORK, NY (May 14, 2013) - Since 2006, Remezcla has dedicated itself to discovering and promoting emerging Latin culture. Now, through RemezcLAB - an in-house Latin culture incubator, a testing-ground for new ideas, voices, and creations - Remezcla will partner with individuals who share our vision - innovators who are leaving their mark - to change the landscape of Latin culture. The launch series will take place in Los Angeles, where we'll be highlighting some of our partners, including: Edoardo Chavarín (NaCO), Florencio Zavala (formerly of OBEY), Gil Gastelum (Cosmica Artists), and Samuel Douek (Hola Mexico Film Festival). The launch series was made possible through Remezcla's partnership with Chivas Regal.

WITH PERFORMANCES FROM LOCAL ARTISTS:
Ceci Bastida was born and raised in Tijuana, Mexico. At the age of 15, she joined oneof Mexico's most important 90's ska-punk bands of the, Tijuana NO. Ceci is now furthering her career as a solo artist. In 2006, she released the critically acclaimed EP FRONT BC, and released VEO LA MAREA, her full-length debut album in 2009.
Las Cafeteras sprouted in 2006 as students who enjoyed free Son Jarocho classes & decided to share the magic of this folk music from Southern Veracruz with the public, and their music has never stopped evolving.
Subsuelo is a global bass party in Boyle Heights, East Los Angeles. Tropical funk, cumbia, hip-hop and flamenco combine to create the "coolest underground party in LA," featuring resident selectors El Canyonazo, Gozar and DJ Ethos.
