Los Angeles, CA (June 17, 2013) - ViniloVersus premieres their new video "Soñaré Hasta Que Llegue" (I Will Dream Until I Get There)" today exclusively on MTV Iggy. The video was directed by Mike Espinosa and Marino Gonzalez, both Venezuelans that reside in Los Angeles, and is inspired by the cover and title of their Latin Grammy winning album "Cambié de Nombre" (Change of Name).
Front man Rodrigo Gonsalves explains, "It's about goals...about motivation to do something...about making mistakes and moving forward undeterred."
Viniloversus released their third album "Cambié de Nombre" (Change of Name) at the end of 2012. For Viniloversus, the purpose of this album was to reach a wider audience. After its distribution in the Venezuelan newspaper El Nacional, they were nominated for two Latin Grammys for "Best Rock Album" and "Best Recording Package", winning the latter that was designed by MASA. Moreover, their singles "Yunque", "Tu Ambición" (Your Ambition) and "Ares" have all demonstrated the band's maturity in regards to their sound.
After winning two Pepsi Awards in Venezuela for Best Rock Album (Cambie de Nombre) and for Best Production (Carlos Imperatori, Rudy Pagliuca and LASCA), the rock quartet returns in order to continue to solidify their career in the U.S. through a promotional tour and their participation in the LAMC.
The first showcase is scheduled for Wednesday, July 10 at Mercury Lounge in NYC. The second showcase will be held on Thursday July 11th at the renown SOB's in NYC where the band will perform an intimate acoustic set.
