The year’s most frightening flick, THE CONJURING, hits theaters this FRIDAY!

Moving into a new house never seemed so terrifying. The mystery which spanned the film took the horror genre in the right direction.
Renowned ghost hunters Ed Warren, played by Patrick Wilson, and Lorraine Warren, played by Vera Farmiga, travel around giving talks on the paranormal and debunking hauntings.
Roger Perron, played by Ron Livingston, his wife Carolyn Perron, played by Lili Taylor, and five daughters, oldest to youngest, Andrea, played by Shanley Caswell, Nancy, played by Hayley McFarland, Christine, played by Joey King, Cindy, played by Mackenzie Foy, and April, played by Kyla Deaver, move into an old secluded house and begin to experience subtle paranormal activity.
The daughters being very playful explore the house as they play games innocently going into dark closets and just being kids.
As the paranormal activity increases and becomes intense the reach out to Ed and Lorraine.
Ed and Lorraine come to find how real and violent this demonic possession is.
Encountering everything from unexplained noises to full on moving objects, every scare comes at unexpected times making for a truly outrageous scare.
Ed and Lorraine end up having something find its way to their home where it tries to attack Judy Warren, played by Sterling Jerins, who is fascinated by the paranormal items held at their house
Livingston does a great job of continuing to capture the audience's attention as he progresses from being skeptical and ignorant to what's going on around him to being right in the middle of the demon's chaotic behavior. From caring to concerned father, his portrayal felt organic.
The actresses playing the daughters, Caswell, McFarland, King, Foy, Deaver, and Jeribs, all play incredible roles. Most are very innocent and childish so when the terror comes up it has a feel of true terror.
I give this film a 4 out of 5 Popcorns. The story develops well leaving mystery to each character but giving enough information to keep audiences invested in the characters. It intensifies steadily through the film to a finale that haunts audiences well after the film is over.
"The Conjuring" comes to theaters July 19.
