Celeste Zendejas Promoted to
Director, SESAC Latina
(Nashville, TN): SESAC, the nation's most progressive performing rights organization, today announced the promotion of Celeste Zendejas to the position of Director, SESAC Latina. Zendejasis responsible for recruiting songwriters and publishers to SESAC Latina and as well as maintaining existing affiliate relationships. Zendejas works in SESAC's Los Angeles office.
"Celeste specializes in the Regional Mexican field and has been working diligently to expand and grow the Regional Mexican repertoire for SESAC Latina. Over the past several years, SESAC Latina has expanded its presence and growth within the Regional Mexican market landing four of the Top 5 songs in Billboard's Regional Mexican chart.SESAC Latina celebrated the extraordinary talent of its affiliated composers and publishers in our 2013 Music Award Gala, with a total of eight #1s on the Billboard charts, including the seven week #1 smash hit "Y Ahora Resulta," written by Alma Rosario and performed by the group Voz de Mando and the 18 week #1 hit, "Llamada de Mi Ex," written by Ariel Barreras and performed by La Arrolladora Banda El Limon which was named 2012 Billboard Song of the Year.
Before joining SESAC, Zendejas was the Label Manager for EMI Televisa Music for seven years where she worked in production, A&R and Marketing with a variety of Regional Mexican acts as Intocable, Pepe Aguilar, Kumbia Kings, Ana Gabriel, among many others.
