Julian Richards “THE LAST HORROR MOVIE” re-released in UK
Soda Pictures has announced the UK DVD re-release of Julian Richards cult hit THE LAST HORROR MOVIE, six years after the film was withdrawn from distribution by Tartan Films following its implication in a murder trial. The UK street date is set for May 5th 2014.
In this ultimate experience in home invasion, smooth talking serial killer Max Parry has copied his fly-on-the-wall documentary about murder onto a rental tape at his local video store, where he gets people to unwittingly watch his opus before adding them to his body count.
THE LAST HORROR MOVIE hit the festival circuit in 2003 where it won a slew of awards including Best UK feature at Raindance and the prestigious Melies D'Argent for Best European Fantasy Film. In 2004 the film was theatrically released in the US by Fangoria Magazine where it recieved positive reviews from US critics including Variety's Dennis Harvey who described it as "a full blooded portrait of amorality run amuck, designed to rob its viewer of a good nights sleep".
