Square launched a complete point of sale and suite of business tools in Spanish for the growing number of Latino sellers across the United States.
To celebrate the launch Square hosted a free event featuring local business owners and information on Square’s new Spanish business tools on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at La Plaza De Culturas y Artes in Los Angeles, California.
A Square analysis shows that 98.7% of businesses in Los Angeles are small business, 16.5% of California businesses are Latino owned and $4.3 million in Houston Latino small business revenue was powered by Square.
Among the speakers was one of the Restaurante Guelaguetza partner Bricia Lopez. Along with three of her siblings, they continue on with family restaurant and have expanded online to ilovemole.com.
Founder of La Monarca Bakery Alfredo Livas, VIP Limo's German Lopez and Square executive Ricardo Reyes were also guests in attendance.
