When garage rockers Le Butcherettes were assembling the tracks for their recently released second album, Cry Is for the Flies, they saved a special one to be released as a surprise bonus cut: the indie-rock-leaning "Shame, You're All I've Got," featuring Garbage frontwoman Shirley Manson on guest vocals. The band, which includes frontwoman Teri Gender Bender and former Mars Volta member Omar RodrÃguez-López on bass, plays a mix of glimmering guitars and muscular bass as Manson bemoans needing someone she's fallen out of love with.

In a unique move, the Butcherettes' label has notified people who previously bought the generally more rocking Cry Is for the Flies via RodrÃguez-López's Nadie Sound label and offered a free download of the bonus cut, which premiered here. The album also features a guest appearance by Henry Rollins, who provided a spoken-word performance to the song "Moment of Guilt."

The group - which put out its debut, Sin Sin Sin, in 2011 - finished recording Cry Is for the Flies a couple of years ago, when Gender Bender moved from her native Mexico to Los Angeles, but have decided to release it now. In the time since they finished the record, she also sang in one of RodrÃguez-López's other bands, Bosnian Rainbows.
The Butcherettes bassist explained the differences between Gender Bender's two bands in a Rolling Stone interview in 2013. "Le Butcherettes was a lot of angst, and this is more about our togetherness," Rodriguez-Lopez said, referring to Bosnian Rainbows. "It's a different energy and another side of her."
