Experience the Music of Halo, Mass Effect, Final Fantasy and Other Legendary Video Games in Anime Expo Special Edition of rePLAY: Symphony of Heroes
June 18, 2014 – rePLAY: Symphony of Heroes, an orchestral concert series with the music of beloved video games including Journey, God of War and Portal 2, among others, is coming to Los Angeles during this year’s Anime Expo.
rePLAY: Symphony of Heroes will take place on Sunday, July 6 at 2:30pm PDT, in Hall B of the Los Angeles Convention Center during Anime Expo.
Featuring the music of Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Mass Effect, BioShock, Castlevania, Metal Gear Solid, Halo and other award-winning games, played by a live 72-piece orchestra, and 24 voice choir, the Anime Expo Special Edition of rePLAY: Symphony of Heroes spotlights the works of legendary composers including Nobuo Uematsu, Yoko Shimomura, Garry Schyman and others. This is sure to be an unforgettable, symphonic and visual experience.
rePLAY is a one-of-a-kind production that features high-definition gameplay videos, shown in perfect sync with the music. It presents the most memorable video game scores from AAA to indie titles through a musical narrative inspired by Joseph Campbell’s “monomyth.” The story is accompanied by visuals from the games themselves, and narrated by Nigel Carrington of Dear Esther.
