This week, "The People’s Hot List on Xfinity On Demand" kicks off to guide customers through this summer’s hottest and most-buzzed about titles. And for first time ever, Comcast/Xfinity is putting its 20+ million customers in the driver’s seat and letting them determine the best of the best, based on what they watch.
A compilation of the 200 must-see movies and TV shows was posted; they were chosen by a team of entertainment experts, across various categories including Teen Favorites, Sitcoms & Satires, Oscar Nominees, Epic Romances, Family Hits, and Guilty Pleasures. Among the Spanish-language contenders will be Bailando por un Sueño (Univision), El Señor de los Cielos, (Telemundo), ISA (SyFy/mun2), Larrymania (mun2), Las Cariocas (Pasiones), Los Jets (NUVOtv), Matador (El Rey), Metástasis (UniMas) and Salvando al soldado Pérez (Cinelatino).
In its totality, the curated content spans the Xfinity On Demand library and includes free, transactional and for purchase movies and TV shows, such as Under the Dome, Ray Donovan, Rio 2, and Frozen.
For ten days, Xfinity TV customers will “vote” for their summer favorites each time they watch a movie or TV show. Then on July 25, we’ll release The People’s Hot List, the top 100 most-watched movies and TV shows as chosen by our customers.
With more than 55,000 On Demand choices automatically preloaded and saved as part of our customer’s Xfinity TV digital subscription – from Nielsen’s top 100 TV shows, to blockbuster movies to rent or own - there’s no lack of choices available on Xfinity On Demand across all platforms and multiple languages.
Events like The People’s Hot List are part of our ongoing efforts to help customers find and discover all the great content available today. Visit www.xfinity.com/watchtovote for a complete overview of The People’s Hotlist. And join The People’s Hotlist conversation on Facebook and Twitter with hashtag #watchtovote.
Then, let the summer watching begin!
