Miami, FL (October, 24, 2014) - SESAC's top executives from New York, Nashville and Los Angeles joined Miami's music industry leaders October 17 for the official unveiling of the leading performing rights organization's new Miami office. Dubbed "SESAC Miami," the site at 1221 Brickell Ave., Suite 1115, is located at the prestigious Brickell Center in the heart of the city's international financial district. The office, featuring a state-of-the-art recording studio and fully-equipped songwriter spaces, is home to SESAC's Miami operation.
The festive Open House, held in a space that overlooks both Biscayne Bay and the city skyline, gave guests an opportunity to meet with the local Miami SESAC team, including Mayte S. Alvarez, the division's new Writer/Publisher Relations coordinator.
The SESAC Miami office also extends its coverage of a series services to songwriters, artists and publishers in Puerto Rico.
SESAC Miami's Associate Director, Writer/Publisher Relations Albert Ramirez III designed the office, which includes unique writing rooms, as well as an art gallery featuring local artists.
Gibson Guitar Corporation and Miami Recording Studio partnered with SESAC Miami to outfit two new areas to benefit SESAC songwriters. The Gibson Lounge at SESAC Miami includes a Baldwin Baby Grand Piano, an acoustic guitar and an electric guitar, as well as PA Systems for acoustic and DJ sets. The Miami Recording Studio Brickell at SESAC Miami is a full recording studio designed by Fabian Camacho especially for SESAC songwriters.
Through a partnership with On Track Art Studio (OTAS), the new office space also features The Gallery at SESAC Miami, where art from local galleries will be displayed. The current exhibition highlights a collection of six original paintings by OTAS founder and artist Julian Kerr.
"We had a fun evening celebrating SESAC's new office," says J. J. Cheng, VP SESAC Latina, "It's no coincidence that our new office is located in the midst of Miami's vibrant business center. Like the fast-paced, energetic pace around us, SESAC is committed to continuing to implement strategies that maximize compensation and services for our Miami and Puerto Rico based and SESAC Latina writers and publishers.
