Voters Choose Lou Brutus Over All Others

This year marked the second “Best DJ” category inclusion at the awards and second time LOU BRUTUS has won. Other nominees honored in this category were Nikki Sixx, Jackie Kajzer, The Chop Shop, and Skratch N’ Sniff. The awards featured music performances by Aranda and Fit for Rivals.
Upon accepting the honor Brutus said, “You gotta live every day like Ferris Bueller, cause you never know when you’ll be dead.”
LOU BRUTUS is best known for his eighteen plus years of national syndication hosting hardDrive and hardDriveXL as well as his work on other national radio platforms. He has done local shows in Chicago, Philadelphia, Boston, Washington DC, and Providence.
Brutus has also hosted radio specials and/or created radio channels for Metallica, Slipknot, Stone Sour, Rush, Disturbed, Theory of A Deadman, Smashing Pumpkins, and countless others. He was the very first to give national airplay to innumerable bands including Slipknot, Five Finger Death Punch, Halestorm, and Sevendust.
Brutus is frequently onstage to host some of the biggest festivals in rock including Knotfest (San Bernardino, CA), where this past October, he also hosted its worldwide webcast, in addition to 2014’s Sonic Boom in Madison, WI and RockFest in Cadott, WI.
LOU BRUTUS is currently working on two books. The first is a coffee table book of his rock memorabilia collection entitled “One Man - Two Thousand Concerts: The Greatest F*cking Collection of Rock Show Sh*t in History”. The second is a book of his adventures in music entitled “SONIC PIMP: My Life As A Rock and Roll Reprobate – Tales of Sex, Drugs and Vomiting At Inopportune Moments”. D4EO Literary Agency represents him in the book world.
