Grammy-nominated, platinum recording artist and star of Universal Pictures’ global blockbuster, Furious 7, Tyrese Gibson, debuts “Black Rose” album for a crowd of fans in free “5 Towers” concert performance at Universal CityWalk.
Tyrese Gibson will also appear alongside the cast of the Fast & Furious film franchise when he stars in Universal Studios Hollywood’s new thrill ride, “Fast & Furious—Supercharged” opening on June 25 as the grand finale of the world-famous Studio Tour.
Expected to attract hundreds of enthusiastic fans, Tyrese Gibson’s free “5 Towers” concert performance will feature a selection of R&B / hip-hop songs from his long-awaited solo album, “Black Rose,” including the track, “Shame,” an emotional ballad featured in the upcoming 22-minute Paul Hunter-directed short film, co-starring Jennifer Hudson. “Black Rose” will be released in July.
A meet and greet will follow the concert for select fans who advance purchase exclusive merchandise. Photos will be taken by Tyrese’s team and posted on his web site.
The “5 Towers” stage at Universal CityWalk is Los Angeles’ free premier open-air concert venue, host to a multitude of performances by some of today’s most influential artists, including Jason DeRulo, CeeLo Green, John Legend, Justin Bieber, Carly Rae Jepson, Ludacris, Wiz Khalifa and 2 Chainz.
