Aislinn Derbez makes her US film debut in A La Mala, a romantic comedy directed by Pitipol Ybarra (Pulling Strings, El Cielo en tu Mirada) arriving on DVD (plus Digital), Digital HD and On Demand August 4 from Pantelion and Lionsgate Home Entertainment.
The “entertaining…ground-breaking romantic comedy.” (LatinPost.com) comes from the same studio that brought audiences the mega-hit Instructions Not Included. A La Mala received an “A” Cinemascore from audiences and is the biggest Spanish-language movie of the year, with over $3.6 million box office.
Starring Mexican comedian and model Aislinn Derbez (Tierra de Sangre, El Cielo en tu Mirada) and telenovela star Mauricio Ochmann (TV’s “El Señor de Los Cielos,” Message in a Bottle), the film co-stars include Lius Arrieta (Cantinflas, TV’s “Paramedicos”), Aurora Papile (Pulling Strings), Daniela Schmidt (TV’s “Dos Lunas,” TV’s “Capadocia”), Juan Diego Covarrubias (TV’s “De que te quiero, te quiero,” TV’s “Teresa”) and Alejandra Guilmant (upcoming Compadres).
"A La Mala" also features a special cameo from Mexican super star Eugenio Derbez (Instructions Not Included).
After beautiful struggling actress Mala (Aislinn Derbez) is hired to flirt with—and then dump— a producer’s handsome ex, she discovers that her acting skills may not be enough to save her from falling in love in this sparkling comedy.
The A La Mala DVD will be available for the suggested retail price of $14.98.
