"While ("True Contrite" is) full of bright hooks yelled at top volume, it also manages some meditative moments, fitting a wide emotional arc into its five-minute runtime."- SPIN

"The making of the True Contrite music video was one of the most painstaking, rewarding experiences ever," guitarist Kevin Maida said. "We basically had to shoot two music videos, one with the walls blank, then manually tape all the Polaroids to the wall, and then shoot everything again with all the Polaroids on the wall. It took a long time, but the video came out perfect. Also, fun fact: Nick's brother plays the main character in the video, in case anyone was wondering who that handsome gentleman was."On Copacetic (named one of the Most Anticipated Albums of 2015 by Alternative Press), the band set out to flip the script on what's expected from Knuckle Puck without losing sight of the foundation that's converted thousands of devoted fans around the world: rough-around-the-edges urgency buoyed by vocalist Joe Taylor's explosive, gritty vocals.
The name, Copacetic, was plucked from a lyric on the album's sprawling 7-minute closing track, "Untitled."
Copacetic is a title that might sound vaguely beatnik, but it's entirely applicable to the charge set forth on the album's 11 songs.
Knuckle Puck's refreshing sense of perspective, along with a fire-charged pop-punk sound, has helped set them on a rapid trajectory over the past few years.
Breaking from Chicago's southern suburbs in 2011, the band - Taylor, guitarists Maida and Nick Casasanto, bassist Ryan Rumchaks and drummer John Siorek - are regarded as one of the genre's hottest up-and-coming acts, as seen on tour with the likes of The Maine, Real Friends, Modern Baseball, and Senses Fail.
Copacetic is now available via Rise Records.
