"The mysterious, raunchy feminist rapper from New Orleans won over the crowd ... and secured our undying devotion with the giant fannypack full of goodies she dispensed with élan"- NPR
"Her witty rhymes and controversial lyrics make clear she has a swag and style all her own."- EARMILK
"What makes her so fab is that this girl is doing something totally different"- Perez Hilton
"...a stage show that is as much cone-bra, arena-sized Madonna as it is an intimate, hilariously profane psychosexual bedroom drama."Femme fatale rapper Boyfriend has announced that she will be hitting the road with fellow New Orleans artist Big Freedia this fall.- Gambit New Orleans
The tour kicks off with a hometown show on Oct. 20 and concludes in Denver on Nov 15.
Boyfriend's signature Rap Cabaret is an intellectual strip tease, a visit to the club with your college professor.
Much like the Grand Canyon, Boyfriend is best witnessed in the flesh.
Thanks to her outrageous style, wit-fueled lyrics, and feverish hooks, Boyfriend has been taking the music world by storm - earning the affection and admiration of NPR, Huffington Post, VICE, Bullett, Paper Mag, HipHopDX, Perez Hilton, EARMILK, Blackbook, Uproxx, Houston Press, Gambit New Orleans, and so many more. Meanwhile, she has been captivating audiences on the festival circuit with appearances at Fun Fun Fun Fest, SXSW, Pemberton Music Festival, and BUKU Music Project.
Boyfriend will be releasing her new EP "Love Your Boyfriend, Pt. 3" in late 2015.
The album is the final installment of her "Love Your Boyfriend" project, and follows "Love Your Boyfriend, Pt. 1 & Pt. 2," which were released in November/December 2014, and are available for purchase via iTunes.
Catch her on tour with Big Freedia from Oct. 20 - Nov. 15.

ReplyDeleteI always look forward to going out. A good tip would be to look out for those places with interesting concepts. The LA venues are pretty amazing. I came up here with a friend. The place was spacious and food was great.
