On behalf of the new Pantelion Films releases, COMPADRES, starring Omar Chaparro, Aislinn Derbez, Erick Elias, and Joey Morgan, popular Mexican rapper C-Kan has released a music video for the song ‘Maria’ recorded for the COMPADRES soundtrack.
Mexican rapper C-Kan was born José Luis Maldonado in Guadalajara in 1987.
Inspired by Cypress Hill and Control Machete, C-Kan began rapping as a teenager, delivering hard-edged tales about his experiences with gangs, drugs, and violence.
His first mixtape, Get Money, arrived in 2006, followed by Siluetas del Rap in 2007.
He attracted attention through his music videos posted on YouTube, as well as appearances on Mexican news programs where he spoke about feeling responsible for addressing social issues and problems in his lyrics, in order to create awareness and work toward solutions.
Full-length Voy por el Sueño de Muchos was released by Mastered Trax Latino in 2012.
Clasificación C arrived in 2014, followed by Clasificación C, Vol. 2 in 2015.
After being released from prison, former Mexican cop GARZA (Omar Chaparro) seeks revenge on SANTOS (Erick Elias).
Santos has kidnapped his girlfriend MARIA (Aislinn Derbez) and framed him for a crime he didn’t commit.
With the help of his former boss CORONADO (José Sefami), Garza manages to escape with a tip about how to find Santos which leads him to San Diego in search of an “accountant.”
This said faccountant is responsible for stealing $10 million dollars from Santos and may know Santos’ whereabouts.
When Garza arrives, he is shocked to find that the infamous accountant is a 17 year old American computer hacker named VIC (Joey Morgan).
Despite an immediate disdain for each other, these two divided by culture, language and age, realize that Garza’s low tech brain and Vic’s high tech hacker skills may be their only chance at finding Santos before he finds them.
The movie stars Omar Chaparro, one of Mexico’s and the US Hispanic’s biggest comedians and Aislinn Derbez; a rising star and Eugenio Derbez’s daughter.

Tras el choque de personalidades, cultura, lenguaje y edad, se dan cuenta de que entre lo bruto de Garza y la inteligencia de Vic, serán la combinación perfecta para encontrar a Santos.
Por el camino, conocerán a EMILIA (Camila Sodi); una tierna pero fuerte chica que llegara a complicar todo y se convertirá en la manzana de la discordia, a un par de asesinos salvajes y odiosos (JoaquÃn Cosió y Hector Jimenez), y hasta un ranchero sin rancho (Don Cheto).
Esta producción entre Lionsgate y Televisa, es una comedia de acción llena de adrenalina, protagonizada por la súper estrella Omar Chaparro, uno de los actores más populares en México y Estados Unidos y Aislinn Derbez; joven actriz que sigue el legado de su padre Eugenio Derbez.
