Seventeen and Mamamoo Join the KCON NY Lineup
#KCONLiveChat just announced the first two artists performing at KCON 2016 USA
KCON 2016 USA announced that boy group Seventeen and girl group Mamamoo are the first artists to join the KCON 2016 New York lineup.
The world’s largest Korean culture convention and music festival celebrates its fifth anniversary this year. KCON NY is returning to the Prudential Center and will expand to two nights of concerts running June 24-25. KCON LA kicks off a month later and takes place July 29-31 at the Staples Center and Los Angeles Convention Center.

SEVENTEEN (세븐틴) is a thirteen-member band formed by Pledis Entertainment.
The team consists of three units: the hip hop unit (S.coups, Wonwoo, Mingyu, Vernon), the vocal unit (Jeonghan, Joshua, Woozi, DK, Seungkwan), and the performance unit (Jun, Hoshi, THE8, Dino).
SEVENTEEN gained fame on the livestreamed show“17TV,” which was followed by the reality show “Seventeen Project: Debut Big Plan.” SEVENTEEN is the first group in K-Pop history to hold a live debut showcase.
MAMAMOO
MAMAMOO is a girl group composed of four female members: Solar, MoonByul, WheeIn and HwaSa.
They debuted in 2014 with the song “Mr. Ambiguous” and that same year, received awards at the SEOUL SUCCESS AWARDS and Gaon Chart’s K-POP AWARDS. In 2015, the band was selected by Billboard as one of the “Top 5 K-Pop Artists to Watch.”
MAMAMOO’s first full-length album “Melting” dropped in February 2016. The band is managed by Rainbow Bridge World.
