The Fear Doesn't Stop
For Twelve Hours
Ten Thirty One Productions (TTO) is excited to announce the return of Great Horror Campout on June 10 and 11 in Los Angeles at Elysian Park.
The production is an interactive 12-hour overnight event that puts guests into an immersive horror camping adventure jam packed with content.
This year, the cable network Freeform will team up with Ten Thirty One to integrate their new original series Dead of Summer into the Great Horror Campout experience.
In the series, set in the late 1980s, school is out for the summer, and a sun-drenched season of firsts beckons the counselors at Camp Stillwater, a seemingly idyllic Midwestern summer camp, including first loves, first kisses—and first kills.
Stillwater's dark, ancient mythology awakens, and what was supposed to be a summer of fun soon turns into one of unforgettable scares and evil at every turn.
The partnership will bring a new dimension to the experience that places the camp grounds as a character in the attraction that acts as a haunted alter ego campsite.
Welcome to the Great Horror Campout at Camp Stillwater.
"The Great Horror Campout has become our cult phenomenon. The emails demanding information for this year's event have been piling up so I'm thrilled to be able to finally announce our return," Ten Thirty One CEO Melissa Carbone said. "We want to milk every minute of the twelve hours this year to create a slow torture, drawn out terrorizing feel with challenges that will hurl campers into their worst fears but in an enormously fun way. Nobody should be afraid of the event. It's all about fun at its core."The Great Horror Campout at Camp Stillwater offers campers a choice of sleeping in two- or four-person tents.
Campers can choose their level of engagement when they choose their activities and level of participation.
The experience can be an extreme horror adventure or a more mild horror adventure based on preference.
However, whether they decide to stay in their tents with friends or venture into the darkness they are fair game.
Unlike the LA Haunted Hayride, the performers at Great Horror Campout may touch you.
Campers will report to the Great Horror Campout, Base Camp where they will meet the Camp Headmaster for the first time, partake in a mandatory Camp Orientation, receive tent assignments at the Camp Stillwater campgrounds, Hell Hunt Bags and more.
The Hell Hunt is the ultimate challenge of fears, sending campers into the dark and in search of their worst nightmares.
For those that like a milder side of scary, they can stay near Base Camp with the comforts of their blankets, bonfires and scary movies….that is until what's watching, decides to stop watching and comes out of the woods to start ruining.
Tickets are now available for $99.
Campers are highly encouraged to pack an extra change of clothes, picnic baskets and coolers to last them for the twelve hour experience.
There will be a general store with drinks and snacks for purchase.
Campers are advised to watch their emails and texts for game play clues and information leading up to the event as the challenges have been known to start before your bloody little feet even hit the Campout soil.
