The Los Angeles Kings have signed forward Andrew Crescenzi to a one-year contract, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced on July 16.
The 23-year-old Crescenzi (born July 29, 1992) is a 6-5, 209-pound native Thornhill, Ontario who collected 21 points (5-16=21), a plus-10 rating and 56 penalty minutes in 67 regular-season games last season with Ontario (AHL). He also recorded three points (1-2=3) and two penalty minutes in 12 postseason games.
Acquired by the Kings from the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for Brandon Kozun on Jan. 22, 2014, Crescenzi has appeared in 184 regular-season games in the AHL in the Toronto and Los Angeles organizations, posting 44 points (15-29=44) and 174 penalty minutes. He has also appeared in 30 postseason games, where he has tallied six points (1-5=6), a plus-1 rating and 21 penalty minutes.
