Featuring Former Members of SKINLAB and MINISTRY
Set to Release Full-Length Album The Love and Terror Cult this Winter 2016
Oakland, CA punk/hard rock outfit DOPESICK - featuring former members of Skinlab and Ministry - made their grand re-entrance last month with the release of their summer-jam reggae/hard rock hybrid track "Ride The Night."
The band is wasting no time introducing the next track off of their upcoming full length album "The Love and Terror Cult" set to hit retailers this winter 2016.
DOPESICK's new track "Hayes N Webster" showcases a totally different side of the band.
DOPESICK's new track "Hayes N Webster" showcases a totally different side of the band.
The track, which is mixed and mastered by Alex Crescioni, is completely instrumental featuring a hypnotizing riff and searing leads.
The video is also an overall contrast to "Ride The Night" - inspired by slasher films, serial killers and all things horror - with a freaky fetish twist.
This video is not for the faint of heart.

About DOPESICK:
After being released from prison and joining a brief Skinlab reunion, Albright decided to launch the first incarnation of DOPESICK (a term he learned from a cellmate in prison). The band cut their teeth for several years by gigging relentlessly in the Bay Area and releasing an EP in 2002, Vendetta, produced by Skinlab's Scott Sargeant. After some personal conflicts with other members and more time off for Albright while touring with Sebastian Bach's solo project (and penning the title track for his 2007 album Angel Down), DOPESICK seemed to be on hold indefinitely. Fast forward to 2016: Albright recently enlisted drummer Aaron Rossi (Ministry, Prong) and bassist Mandi Martyr (Ministry) to play on the upcoming DOPESICK release - and this time it's sticking.
DOPESICK is currently finishing recording with Patrick Burkholder at Pawnshop Studio in Van Nuys, CA. Pre-orders for the new album will be available soon! Stay tuned for more new music coming from DOPESICK this summer and fall.

DOPESICK founder/guitarist Adam Albright said "For this track, I thought it would be cool to make a video very different from "Ride the Night". I'm really into horror and serial killer stuff, and it shows in this video. It was trippy to be covered in blood rolling around with that girl, kind of like an all-night lap dance to be honest, and it was worth it in the end. I think the imagery will hold people's attention. Oh, and we used a real pig head which was pretty fucking gross! A guy walked out of the room next to ours while she had the leash around the pigman... he looked a little shocked... but it is Hollywood."
Director Matt Zane (Wayne Static, John 5, Orgy) said, "At a certain point in the evening, I didn't know if we were shooting a music video or snuff porn. I suppose that's a good indication of powerful visual art. When the images are so intense the intention and outcome becomes blurred. One must have the courage to continue. Everyone needed to be brave when getting so close to the edge while creating this."Stay tuned for more videos coming soon - DOPESICK plans on releasing several leading up to the release of The Love and Terror Cult.
