San Francisco rockers I the Mighty have been taking 2016 by storm and are showing no signs of slowing down now.
On Sept. 2 the band has released their brand new EP "Oil in Water" via Equal Vision Records.
"Oil in Water" features 5 completely re-imagined versions of songs from the band's latest full length, Connector.
Fans can stream the EP in full now via Baeble Music.
The band said, "The idea behind this release was to take some of our favorite tracks on our latest album Connector and re-imagine them in various different genres. Arranging and recording 'Oil In Water' was a ton of fun and allowed us the opportunity to explore a wide range of musical styles that we hadn't before as a band including jazz, acapella, bluegrass, acoustic, and electronic."Formed in 2007, I the Mighty consists of Walsh (vocals/guitar), Ian Pedigo (guitar), Chris Hinkley (bass) and Blake Dahlinger(drums).
Since then the band has built up an impressive following of fans nationwide by tirelessly touring with the likes of Coheed And Cambria, Balance & Composure, Say Anything, Hands Like Houses, letlive., Architects, Enter Shikari, Dance Gavin Dance, Vans Warped Tour 2014, and more.
They have also been in regular rotation on local modern rock station Live 105.
