"[Hard Feelings] captures all of her favorite obsessions from the past few years, including struggling with anxiety, self-image, and—as is de rigueur for those of us who have experienced it firsthand—the non-stop shit show of ridiculousness that is daily life in New York City." - The A.V. Club
"Brooke Van Poppelen has the ability to address problems and manifest them into something we can all laugh at... Hard Feelings is an album about one comedian’s sensitivity becoming a listener’s treasure." - The Laugh ButtonStandup comedian and TV host Brooke Van Poppelen (truTV's Hack My Life, @midnight, The Nightly Show) released her debut comedy album "Hard Feelings" on all digital platforms with Sure Thing Records on Oct. 13.
Recorded during SXSW 2016 in Austin, Hard Feelings is a collection of Brooke's favorite material that she's created and performed over the past five years, drawing from personal struggles with anxiety, living in NYC, self-image, stressful salad bars, failed relationships, and family nonsense, with a dash of non sequitur goofiness. Brooke will celebrate the album's release in New York on Oct. 15 at 10 p.m. at Rockwood Music Hall Stage 3 and in Los Angeles on Oct. 21 at 8 p.m. at The Left Bank.
