Indie rock artist, Survival Guide has debuted a new music video for her song "One to One" via BUST Magazine.

The music video, directed by Jim Agius, emphasizes the haunting and ethereal vocals that vocalist Emily Whitehurst is best known for.

Whitehurst said, "The lyrics describe the way there are two sides to every relationship. As a twist, we (Jim Agius and Tim Rose of Dogfilm and I) decided to make the video show how there may be a side of the relationship that's hidden. Our main goal was to make the viewer feel creeped out by leaving my character in the dark. It reminds me of an old "don't open that door!" type film. Funnily enough, I actually did feel a little creeped out seeing that roomful of photos -- Jim found every one of those photos of me online. I helped cut & tape them up (which took lots of hours), then when I stood back to see the result, it was pretty overwhelming."Survival Guide is the compelling artistic endeavor featuring California vocalist and keyboardist Emily Whitehorse.
Her music falls somewhere between indie rock and electronic, always with descriptive, storytelling lyrics, strong vocals and a sprinkle of pop.
After supporting Joan Jett, performing at First City Festival 2014 (Beck, The National, Phantogram) and recording a freshman full-length album, Survival Guide was named one of the Top 12 Bay Area Bands of 2014 by San Francisco's premier rock radio station, Live 105. Her latest album, entitled "Way to Go," conjures feelings of a dark modern fairytale and showcases Whitehurst's vocal range and talent, following two previously released 7" vinyl singles, "Hot Lather Machine" and "Wildcat," released on San Francisco's Side With Us Records.
The album was met with rave reviews and she shows no signs of slowing down.
