"VANDAL" MOVIE BEGINS FILMING
IN MIAMI DURING ART BASEL
A DRAMA ABOUT THE DEPTHS OF THE STREET GRAFFITI GAME IN SOUTH FLORIDA
DANIEL ZOVATTO, OTMARA MARRERO & BEAU KNAPP STAR IN THE FILM
Exilium, a Miami-based production company, announced its new feature film āVandal,ā an authentic drama about art, love, war, and the depths of the street graffiti game, which will begin shooting next month in Miamiās Wynwood, Little Havana, and Little Haiti neighborhoods.
The screenplay, written by Paul Taegel and Jose Daniel āJaydeeā Freixas (āMagic City Memoirsā) will be Freixasā directorial debut and produced by Tony Gonzalez. Executive Producers include Rob Weiss (āEntourage,ā āBallersā) and legendary graffiti artist Kelly āRiskā Graval. Other Executive Producers include Marco Vicini, Los Arias, and Armando Perez.
Set in present day Miami, āVandalā is a gritty drama about Cuban-American graffiti artist, Nick Cruz, also known as Damage, who leads his infamous crew while waging an all-city graffiti assault against his longtime rival, Sizmik. Daniel Zovatto will star in the lead role of Nick Cruz. Zovatto is most widely known for the roles he has played in āIt Follows,ā āFear the Walking Deadā and āDonāt Breathe.ā
Beau Knapp will play Sizmik. Beau is currently shooting āDeathwishā for MGM, where he plays the villain opposite Bruce Willis.
Knapp is known for his roles in Antoine Fuquaās āSouthpaw,ā Tale Shalom-Ezerās āMercy,ā āThe Nice Guys,ā opposite Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe, as well as his lead role in Oscar award-winning director, Ang Leeās film, āBilly Lynnās Long Halftime Walk.ā
Miami-native, Otmara Marrero, from Crackleās āStartupā will also star opposite Zovatto as Sofia āSilkā Campos.

Academy Award-winning actor Leonardo DiCaprio will produce, along with Freixas and Gonzalez, as well as Appian Wayās Jenifer Davisson Killoran, and the Picture Companyās Andrew Rona and Alex Heineman.
