Pandora just announced the top 25 ranking of most popular Latin tracks in 2016.**
Some of the top artists of 2016 include J Balvin, Nicky Jam, Yandel, Banda Sinaloense MS de Sergio Lizarraga and Enrique Iglesias.
The top Latin song on Pandora “Ginza” by J Balvin got more than 3.3 million thumbs up in 2016.
“The continued popularity of reggaeton is apparent—it has essentially become the de facto Latin pop genre of the year. Eight of the top 25 songs are either by or featuring reggaeton artists, including the top three. Additionally, Regional Mexican music continues to be a driving force on Pandora, with the genre providing over two thirds of the entrants on the list. Within Regional Mexican, Norteño and Sierreño sounds edge out Banda for the most representation this year," Marcos Juarez, Lead Latin Curator, Pandora, said.Some of the artists have multiple songs on Pandora's top 25 Latin songs of 2016.
