AFTER YEARS OF ABUSE AND NEGLECT, A DISTURBED LITTLE GIRL GOES TO LIVE WITH HER AUNT AND UNCLE BUT WHEN THEY DECIDE SHE MIGHT NOT BE STABLE ENOUGH TO STAY WITH THEM, SHE TAKES MATTERS INTO HER OWN HANDS IN “MOMMY’S LITTLE ANGEL,” PREMIERING SATURDAY, MARCH 17 (8PM ET/7PM CT) ON LIFETIME
Amanda Clayton (“If Loving You is Wrong”) stars in the thriller reminiscent of
“The Bad Seed”
Little Katie (Morgan Neundorf) has had a short, but rough life.
Her mother, Shawna (Kimberly Leferriere) is loving, but addicted to pain pills.
Katie’s estranged, and mentally deranged father Darren, (Peter Michael Dillon) has made their life hell.
When Darren tries to break into Shawna’s house and kidnap Katie, Shawna drives her and her daughter to a place she deems is safe—her cousin Nikki’s (Amanda Clayton) house.
Unfortunately, she doesn’t know Darren has followed them.
A few days later, Darren murders Shawna, making it look like a suicide.
Nikki, having just miscarried her own baby and in the process of trying to get pregnant again, is worried that Katie will be put into the foster care system.
She discusses it with her husband LUKE, (Chris Gallinger), and they decide to become Katie’s legal guardian.
All initially goes well.
Katie adjusts quickly and bonds with Nikki.
Nikki finds joy in being a mother and falls in love with her new daughter.
Unbeknownst to Nikki, Darren isn’t about to give up.
What Nikki doesn’t know is that Katie was complicit in her mother’s murder and also plans to kill her father so that she can stay with Nikki and Luke—the type of family she’s always wanted.
Those plans may soon be derailed when Katie finds out that Nikki is pregnant again.
Katie overhears Luke telling Nikki that they need to focus on what’s best for their own child now, and that may mean Katie needs to go live in a foster home.
Nikki, consumed with guilt over sending Katie away, isn’t sure what to do.
One night, Darren makes an attempt to kidnap Katie from Nikki’s house.
It’s a trap set up by Katie. She kills her father ‘in self-defense’ after he pushes Nikki down the stairs.
Only it wasn’t self-defense and Darren wasn’t the one who pushed Nikki.
Katie, hoping to cause another miscarriage, is culpable, but Nikki doesn’t know it.
The baby survives but Luke won’t change his position on sending Katie away.
Desperate, Katie turns her fury on the very people who helped her—Luke and Nikki. Unleashing a murderous rage, Katie does the unthinkable—attacks Luke and leaves him for dead.
With Luke being rushed to the hospital, Nikki must help the police find the disturbed child before she becomes her next victim.
