Director Ava DuVernay and the stars of Disney’s upcoming “A Wrinkle in Time,” Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, Mindy Kaling, Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Storm Reid, joined O, The Oprah Magazine’s Gayle King (editor at large), Lucy Kaylin (editor in chief), Adam Glassman (creative director) and Jayne Jamison (publisher) for a special screening of the film hosted by the magazine on March 7 at the Walter Reade Theater at Lincoln Center.
Disney’s “A Wrinkle in Time,” an epic adventure from visionary director Ava DuVernay based on Madeleine L’Engle’s timeless classic, takes audiences across dimensions of time and space, examining the nature of darkness versus light and, ultimately, the triumph of love.
Through one girl’s transformative journey led by three celestial guides, we discover that strength comes from embracing one’s individuality and that the best way to triumph over fear is to travel by one’s own light.
