After eight years, "La Reina del Sur" starring Kate del Castillo as Teresa Mendoza returned with a vengeance to Telemundo on Monday night ranking as the #1 broadcast television show in America at 10pm among adults 18-49 averaging 1.26M viewers - more than double Univision’s audience and outperforming CBS’ Bull and ABC’s The Fix, according to Nielsen.
The much-anticipated premiere delivered 2.36M total viewers and reached a cumulative audience of 1.59M adults 18-49 and nearly 3 million total viewers.
