Blake Lizotte and Matt Luff rejoin Kings as practice resumes following NHL All-Star Break
The LA Kings announced that the team has recalled forwards Blake Lizotte and Matt Luff from Ontario, according to Vice President and General Manager Rob Blake.
Lizotte, 22, returns to the Kings after being loaned to Ontario last Thursday (Jan. 23). He skated in one game with the Reign in which he was held scoreless. The Lindstrom, Minnesota native has played in 45 games for the Kings this season, registering 15 points (4-11=15) before suffering a lower-body injury against the Dallas Stars on Jan. 8.
Luff, who was reassigned to Ontario last Sunday (Jan. 19), rejoins the Kings after a two-goal effort in two appearances with the Reign this week. The 22-year-old extended his AHL point total to 12 points (5-7=12) and a plus-4 rating through 17 games with the Reign this season. In 17 games with the Kings this season, the Oakville, Ontario native has registered five points (1-4=5).
The Kings, who are back from their bye week, return to game action next Wednesday (Jan. 29) when they host the Tampa Bay Lightning at Staples Center. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m.and will be broadcast on NBCSN and the LA Kings Audio Network on iHeartRadio.
