Soon-to-be released documentary “Get Back Up,” spans seven tumultuous years, chronicling Justin Furstenfeld, the lead singer of platinum-selling alt-rock band Blue October (platinum singles “Hate Me,” “Into The Ocean,” “Calling You”), as he and his bandmates battle with substance abuse, mental health struggles, subsequent treatment and then recovery.
Despite his greatest efforts to destroy his life, Furstenfeld made even greater efforts to mend it, recover from his mistakes and ultimately triumph — personally and professionally.
In fact, Blue October’s 10th studio album, “This Is What I Live For” (Up/Down-Brando Records), will drop in September 2020.
The first single, “Oh My My” was the #1 most added single to alternative radio its first two weeks in rotation, and last week it debuted on the alternative chart, currently at #34 and is climbing.
This is the band’s 15th charted single in 14 years.
