Craving the heat, OVERSTREET – the emerging Alt-Pop project of frontman Chord Overstreet – is daydreaming of “Summertime,” with the carefree single available now at all streaming platforms and digital retailers.

“I just wanted to have a bunch of visuals,” Overstreet shared with Access Hollywood, about penning the sun-kissed bop with Simon Oscroft – who also produced the track. “I kept seeing '80s, '90s throwbacks – people rollerblading on Venice Boardwalk; taking some margaritas to the beach; putting on sunscreen; just basically getting too much sun.”
Overstreet will continue to celebrate the release of “Summertime” with American Songwriter, as he takes over their Instagram account for the day, including a livestream performance and Q&A with fans.
The singer-songwriter is featured in its next issue, which hits stands on May 13.
