At this past Sundance film festival, “BOYS STATE” won the grand jury prize for documentary, catapulting the film’s main subject, Gen-Z activist Steven Garza onto the political scene.
There are 32 million eligible Latino voters, 75% are Gen-Z & Young Millennials.
How do we engage with our youth and get out the vote?
Screening will be followed by a candid conversation with Steven Garza and Texas Congressman and CHC Chair Joaquin Castro.
Each will talk about their own unique experiences that lead them to their paths, the importance of youth civic engagement, and the critical issues heading into the November 3 election — moderated by LA Collab’s Ivette Rodriguez.
