The Last Rockstars perform to a sold-out crowd at the Hollywood Palladium

For a sold-out show, which concert goers arrived early for and caused the queue to go around the the Hollywood Palladium and extending out to the next couple of streets. 

From the moment attendees entered, the energy throughout the venue could be felt. With ten minutes to go before the show started, the ground floor was steadily filling up.

Band-Maid, shredded the opening, showing that not only they were cute, but extremely talented women as well. Some in attendance didn’t know who Band-Maid were, including myself, but by the end of their 20-minute-long performance, everyone became fans of the band.

IT was slightly disappointing that Bqnd-Maid only performed for 20 minutes, but everyone was looking forward to The Last Rockstars’ performance.

Sadly, The Last Rockstars was delayed due to technical difficulties, but once everything was fixed and ready, their introduction was received with enthusiastic cheering and clapping.

The Last Rockstars debuted with their first released song, and they brought the house down. The concert was filled with warm messages from Yoshiki, sharing with his fans of their journey and what they hoped to achieve, spreading a little bit of light.

The Last Rockstars played newly released songs and even taught the audience some of the lyrics.

The crowd in attendance and those watching the livestream also got to experience amazing solos from each of the members, Yoshiki on the drums and piano, Miyavi on guitar, Sugizo on guitar (and at one point violin), and Hyde on vocals.

It was a night many fans enjoyed and will keep in their hearts. It was a night that left fans in awe and truly grateful for the experience. The show left fans looking forward to an album release announcement, and hopefully a tour announcement in support of the album.

THE LAST ROCKSTARS is comprised of four living legends who have each made their mark on Japan’s rock history.

YOSHIKI – classical pianist, composer, rock drummer, leader of X JAPAN
 
HYDE – solo artist, vocalist of L'Arc~en~Ciel and VAMPS
 
SUGIZO – composer, guitarist, and violinist of LUNA SEA and X JAPAN
 
MIYAVI – "samurai guitarist", singer-songwriter
 
The band's first single "The Last Rockstars (Paris Mix)" was released on December 23, 2022, through Melodee Music. The single is distributed globally by Melodee Music/Ingrooves Music Group. Ingrooves is part of Virgin Music Group, the newly formed global independent music division of Universal Music Group.
 
Their live debut world tour in 2023 included sold-out concerts in Tokyo, New York, and Los Angeles.

BAND-MAID

BAND-MAID is a five piece rock band formed in 2013. Their international activities include performances at Aftershock Festival, and several U.S. and European tours.

Recently, the band made an appearance in the Netflix film KATE and their music was featured in James Gunn’s PEACEMAKER series on HBO Max.
