Sony Pictures Entertainment celebrated the grand opening of Wonderverse, the company's first immersive entertainment destination, with a celebrity red carpet event on Wednesday, January 10th.
Stars in attendance along with notable industry figures included:
- McKenna Grace, star of the upcoming film Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire
- Aly & AJ, American pop-rock duo
- Kyle Abrams, star of Love is Blind
- Marina Squerciati, actress and star of Chicago P.D.
- Torrey DeVitto, actress and former star of Chicago Med; and more
- Jeffrey Godsick, EVP of Global Partnerships and Brand Management and Head of Location Based Entertainment at Sony Pictures
The first immersive entertainment destination from Sony Pictures Entertainment, Wonderverse allows guests to go beyond the screen and enter imaginative worlds from popular films, television series, and video games such as Ghostbusters, Jumanji, Uncharted, Zombieland, and more. The 45,000 square-foot transformative space hosts a hybrid of physical and immersive multimedia experiences, interactive installations, dynamic attractions, and themed dining experiences including “The Ghost Trap” - a hidden speakeasy taking guests into the Ghostbusters universe with gems from the franchise incorporated into every inch of the space.
The grand opening party offered guests a first look at Wonderverse’s attractions as well as a taste of the menu by Chef Scott Donaldson from the destination’s Commissary Restaurant and expertly crafted cocktails from Pernod Ricard’s mixologist Jane Danger. Featured entertainment included a live DJ, musicians, dynamic visual installations, and more. Wonderverse officially opened to the public on Thursday, January 11th, 2024.
