Lexi Layne releases a tormented visual music video for metal song “The Tower,” out now on all streaming platforms.
From start to finish this song is magnificent and uses the melodic vocals of Layne to their fullest without crossing over to the metal grunt.
Staying within a great tonal range, the heavy musical accompaniment can go deeper to maintain a bass heavy rhythm.
Layne’s theatrical performance of the song gives viewers a treat with the slightly creepy visuals that accompany the haunting lyrics.
A dark color scheme beautifully spotlight’s Layne during her singing and gives way to intensify the hands which entrap her as the video progresses.
“The Tower” music video stays in a similar style as the two previous releases, “Serpent” and “High Priestess,” creating a story which seems to be of self-empowerment and change.
While on an Instagram Live, Layne said that “The Tower” was not originally mean to have a music video, but that her and her team discussed what it may look like and it fit well with her vision of where she wants to take her style.
Layne said that she keeps working with people who show the same passion which she does as well as the dedication which push her to create at a high standard.
With a theatre background Layne has learned to take every project serious and it has made her strict on creating projects she would be proud of and which hold true to her vision.
Layne also said her team are perfectionists as well and work diligently along side her to produce as high quality a product as they possibly can.
There’s more projects Layne said she has in the works, but is not ready to formally announce, but she is excited about them and cannot wait to share more information soon.
Lexi Layne’s “The Tower” is out now on all streaming platforms.

Lyrics:
This darkness starts to brew
In waves of deja vu
The roar of thunder looms
A storm approaches
An unexpected electricity
Striking into me
Sudden energy
Flash of light turns into heat
Every part of me
Now in jeopardy
The tower falls to pieces in the sea
Within the mist of illusion
My fortress destroyed in the flames
I can’t escape the forces of change
Everything I ever set in stone
And everything I never wanted to let go of
Lost in delusion
With nothing to save
The spire is torn in two
Seeds of destruction bloom
In loss I am renewed
And I must own this
A surge of life
A call of destiny
Striking into me
Sudden energy
Flash of light turns into heat
Every part of me
Now in jeopardy
The tower falls to pieces in the sea
Within the mist of illusion
My fortress destroyed in the flames
I can’t escape the forces of change
Everything I ever set in stone
And everything I never wanted to let go of
Lost in delusion
With nothing to save
The spire is torn in two
Seeds of destruction bloom
In loss I am renewed
And I must own this
A surge of life
A call of destiny
Striking into me
Sudden energy
Flash of light turns into heat
Every part of me
Now in jeopardy
The tower falls to pieces in the sea
Within the mist of illusion
My fortress destroyed in the flames
I can’t escape the forces of change
Everything I ever set in stone
And everything I never wanted to let go of
Lost in delusion
With nothing to save
thrown from the window in the blaze
I’m falling
taking a part of me
Burned into nullity
I am caught
Within the mist of illusion
My fortress destroyed in the flames
I can’t escape the forces of change
Everything I ever set in stone
And everything I never wanted to let go of
Lost in delusion
With nothing to save
