Despite their differences, when they manage to get on the same page, they become an unstoppable force.
“Borderline” features Eoin Macken (“La Brea,” Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, Till Death), Amy De Bhrún (Small Things Like These, Jason Bourne, “Line of Duty”), Hugh O'Conor (The Young Poisoner’s Handbook, Chocolat, The Three Musketeers [1993]), and Paul Reid (Flora and Son, The Ritual, “Raw”). “Borderline” will be available for the suggested retail price of $9.99 on Digital.
The Irish border is a place of wildness and wilderness that’s part rural idyll, part Wild West. This is Bandit Country – a beautiful, rugged land steeped in history, humor, disputes, smuggling, and violence. The job of policing it falls to two separate police forces: the PSNI north of the border, and the Garda in the south. But with increasing frequency in these strange, post-Brexit times, both police forces must work together to solve serious crimes. One of those strange pairings occurs when the body of a bridesmaid washes up on straitlaced PSNI Detective Inspector Philip Boyd’s side of the border, requiring him to work alongside Detective Inspector Aoife Regan – a foul-mouthed, unapologetically gay city girl – who works for the Garda. The two detectives see things very differently in their personal and professional lives, and though they get off to a rocky start, make a formidable crime-fighting duo. But whether they like it or not, they have a murder to solve.
